Mom was the most selfless person I have ever met. She was always willing to sacrifice herself so that her loved ones could have more or better or suffer less pain. This was evident even to the end. Never did she think of herself but only those who loved her (no one could help but love her). She never complained for fear it would hurt her loved ones. This is where her courage came into play. Every situation she was confronted with was met with a smile.

People were drawn to Mom because of her compassionate nature. She was never too busy to drop everything and lend a loving ear. Many people would unload their problems on her because she was such a good listener. She was the perfect friend and made my teen years more bearable than they otherwise might have been. She will continue to be one of my best friends throughout my life as I know her compassionate ear will always be available. She also will always be my idol and role model.

Mom left this world with the same grace and class she had lived in it. We will always have comfort (as will she) that her life was a true success.
