George Owen Johnson, 71, of Greenbrier, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2007. He was born March 19, 1935 in Quitman, a son of the late Cordie and Ermon Johnson.

George was a stander, he stood strong, he now stands before The Great I Am, The Lord of Lord and King of Kings.

An added bonus is that he today is reunited with his grandson who preceded him in death, Shannon Brown. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Marie Harrison.

George is survived by his wife, Barbara Johnson; his sons, Aaron Johnson and wife Nikki and their children: Kady and Hayes of Greenbrier, Curtis Johnson and his children: Mandy, Kayla and Lance of Conway; a daughter, Debbie Hidalgo and her children: Kevin, Kelsey and Kayla Hildalgo of Vancouver, WA, and Dustin Brown of Vancouver, three great grandchildren, Colby, Austin and Kalli Brown, of Vancouver; three sisters, Pat Gresham, Betty Fletcher and Juanita Zemp, all of Conway; many nieces and nephews; and his very precious dogs (Miss Maddie and Chester) whom he adored.

We will miss George but we know beyond the shadow of a doubt he is at the right hand side of God. Our prayer is that you be as ready as George was to meet his savior. We seek you prayers, as we know God will bring us through again. He was a member of The Church Alive, International Union Operating Engineers and was a U.S. ARMY veteran.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Church Alive with Pastor Randy Long officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
